Royal Castle – magnificently beautiful baroque-classicist residence of princes and from the 16th c. on–the seat of the First Polish Republic’s ruling bodies: the King and the Parliament. Warsaw Old Town is the most prominent area of the city. The Palace of Culture and Science is a flagship example of communist, monumental architektur from the 1950s. The tremendous structure houses restaurants, a university, theatres, cinemas, offices, conference and concert halls – that is over 3000 rooms.
